Sightseeing

Bujumbura is scenically situated on the banks of Lake Tanganyika. It is a bustling port with architecture dating back to the years of German colonisation in the 19th century. An excellent place to visit is the Musee Vivant, which is a recently reconstructed traditional Burundian village with basket ware, pottery, drum and photographic displays.
